Moonshine

for a while, we were working on this 4x mobile game with a gangster/mafia theme. unfortunately it was sunsetted, but we managed to make some pretty cool tools in unity in the process, to help build big cities (and big maps on mobile in general)
this was a very challenging project, cities have got to be one of the hardest things you can tackle, depending on how unique you want them to be.

Below you'll find some videos of our city building tech.
here is our player base. the art team did great here, but i also ended up programming a basic traffic system and trolley logic to really make things come to life. and it leveraged a lot of our 'meeple' tech to have characters roaming around
gangster detail screen where we experimented with putting a combo of meeples with HD art here - pretty neat i thought
some early experiments with our meeple and player base system where we were thinking about setting up cut scenes for more drama. this is a little cheesy, but it had promise!
gameplay

early screenshots of our first couple iterations of the player base. i was hoping we'd turn this into something like the castle building from the suikoden series where you gather up lots of interesting individuals during gameplay, and they help expand your fortress etc
